Hey, I had ball gown dress. The dress has multiple lace in the skirt. I want the dress to cut because it is too long for me and reattach the lace to the ball gown dress after the skirt has shorten.

I sew tutu bodices which are very similar to bridal. I use the walking foot on my domestic all the time to keep seams even when layering fabrics. Do you use a Juki with walking foot for your work? I am considering a faster machine.

Definitely had that happen a few times. While it's unadvisable to sew close to pins, it's not always possible. I have found that switching to a finer pin with a metal head (not a ball head) reduces this risk a lot. Also, using shorter pins helps as well. Thank goodness you came out of it intact though, that's always a blessing.
